Encore Funding Welcomes Craig Cohen as Director of Sales

Encore Funding, an alternative lender for the staffing and transportation industries, is pleased to announce Craig Cohen as the new Director of Sales.

Craig is a highly skilled and inspiring thought leader, renowned for his entrepreneurial spirit. He excels in team building through effective communication, coaching, and strategic planning, while also possessing a strong financial acumen. Craig is a proven leader of leaders, with a passion for organizational leadership.

Prior, as the President of Transcap, a leading freight factoring provider, Craig helped build the alternative lending business focused on establishing partnerships with carriers and freight brokers as a way to finance short-term cash needs. He brought expertise in creating all internal capabilities, including a brand, website, operational procedures, and technology infrastructure.

In addition to his leadership abilities, Craig is an experienced risk manager with expertise in collateralized lending in underdeveloped credit markets. He has achieved success by developing and implementing credit strategies based on analytics and long-term thinking. With over 25 years of experience in commercial and corporate banking, Craig has held various roles in Credit, Underwriting, Risk Management, Loan Workout, and Portfolio Management.

Craig’s educational background includes a Master of Business Administration in Finance from John Carroll University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from The Ohio State University. In his leisure time, Craig enjoys playing golf and vacationing with his wife and two children.
